On the 8th I went to the Rialto going to see my favorite band Pierce the Veil. I don't really care for Sleeping with Sirens I listened to like 2 of their songs. With Bear Tooth opening getting the crowed pumped up. I moshed hard when Bear Tooth did their set , I'm 5' foot tall about 80 something pounds and I'm 16. You don't really expect to see me in the pits, but I'm in there going full force.
After Bear Tooth went up, Pierce the Veil took the stage. It was beautiful. They had the crowed singing along and jumping to the music. I cried when they played "Hold on till May" tears streaming down my face because the song touches me and makes me feel so emotional. After Pierce the Veil did there set Sleeping with Sirens went up. I didn't really like them that much before I went ,but after that concert I am just obsessed. Seeing a band live really helps you connect and enjoy them more rather than just listening to them on your phone or seeing their music videos online.
The show was great I got to meet Kellin Quinn the lead singer of Sleeping with Sirens before their set I got his autograph ,but he left before I could get a photo with him. After the show I stayed around outside the side door of the Rialto waiting for anyone to come out so I could get a picture or something. This pizza guy came along with about 5 boxes of pizza and Vic Fuentes the lead singer of Pierce of Veil and I'm guessing someone's assistant from Sleeping with Sirens came out the door to get the pizzas. I fangirled so hard screaming inside my head not trying to scare Vic so I just asked for a autograph and Vic just looked at me and smiled and said I'll give you something better and he reached down in some case and handed me some used drum sticks from their set I started crying and he went inside with the other guy there called me over and said here take these too and handed me some more used drums sticks from Sleeping with Sirens set.
I was crying my eyes out but I didn't want to take home these 4 drum sticks they were broken and were damaged, they looked used so I wanted to be nice and I walked around trying to find someone to give one of each bands used drum sticks. I saw this girl crying she had ran up behind me when Vic handed me the sticks ,but Vic had already went inside so she had missed out on meeting him. I looked at her crying and gave her one of Pierce the Veils drum sticks she just looked and me and hugged me tight she lifted up her sleeves and showed me her cuts some were fresh and some were scarred and she told me her story of how they helped her it was heart touching and we cried together for a bit and I told her my story it was great .I felt I helped someone and I did a good deed I didn't get her name ,but she will always be in my heart. Some bands have amazing fans who are helped by their music and I consider them my family. We are all their to watch these people play songs live that we listen to everyday. Even though I didn't get a picture or Vic's autograph I got Kellin's autograph and used drum sticks a few bumps, burses and a busted lip from the pits and I got a story of how music can save lives.
