Pierce the Veil has been called the saver of many teens in the darkest times in there lives. I will back up that statement because I am one of them. I have been to hell and back and my only true friend is music.
Pierce the veil has been there through my break ups ,through my depression, and through my stressful life as a teenager.
Their song "Disaterology" has very meaningful lyrics and its my favorite song currently. Their lyrics are powerful and have deep meaning to me.
If you come over tonight, we can travel through time.
We can sleep on the ceiling and creep under black lights.
I have a million different girls that hide under my bed.
And when I let them out they treat me right.
Oh, what a waste of a perfectly good, clean wrist.
You were screaming till the police came.
We can sleep on the ceiling and creep under black lights.
I have a million different girls that hide under my bed.
And when I let them out they treat me right.
Oh, what a waste of a perfectly good, clean wrist.
You were screaming till the police came.
This stanza is very poetic it makes your mind wander. The chorus talks about building something beautiful only to destroy it I see this as powerful imagery. The mentioning of "clean wrist" she cut herself and then realized it wasn't exactly needed , she overreacted she thought it was a waste of a clear skin without scars. Pierce the Veil has very powerful and strong lyrics that contort the mind when listening to there songs your always try to find ways to relate to there poetic words. Pierce the veil is my favorite band and they help me in the most dark time in my short 15 years of life but I wake up everyday knowing it wont be my last because I have meaning, I have hope, I have things to look forward and not to give up to thanks to Pierce the veil.
Here's a link to a lyric video to the song.
That's so true, music had been the one thing that keeps my mind moving, I know I would go postal if I just let my mind talk to itself, that was a good blog, keep up the awesome job your doing, Sara
